We are currently seeking two (2) dedicated Home and Community Therapy Behavioral Health Professionals (HCT-BHP) to join our interdisciplinary treatment team. The positions will assist the clinicians with the time‑limited, intensive counseling and behavioral intervention services in homes and community settings for families with children experiencing behavioral health challenges. The positions will be traveling throughout Kennebec and Somerset Counties (Maine).
The HCT‑BHP supports families in accessing community resources, facilitates healthy parent‑child interactions, and contributes to treatment planning and skill development. Additional responsibilities include observing and documenting family sessions, modeling behavioral and symptom management strategies, teaching parenting skills, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with outside providers.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver in‑home or community‑based behavioral health services to children and families.
- Support family engagement in appropriate community resources and services.
- Facilitate and model effective interactions and interventions between parents and children.
- Document progress, observations, and service activities accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with program clinicians and community partners to support treatment goals.
- Utilize evidence‑based practices as directed by the treatment team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health, Social Services, Rehabilitation, Special Education, or related field preferred.
- Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification or eligibility for provisional BHP certification required.
- Experience working with children, families, or individuals at risk for out‑of‑home placement preferred.
- Valid Maine driver’s license required.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to implement evidence‑based practices.
- Effective communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
