Job Details
• Outpatient infusion setting with 21 infusion spaces and an average daily census of 46 patients per day,
• Patient population consists of oncology and general medical infusion outpatients,
• Patient ratios range from 1:7 to 1:9 depending on the length, type, and acuity of treatments,
• Monday through Friday day shift, 7:45 AM - 4:15 PM,
• No weekend or on-call requirements,
• No floating required within the unit; however, a 25-mile float policy between facilities may apply as needed,
• Uses IV pumps and Epic EMR,
Job Requirements
• Active RN license valid in the state of Maine (ME state license or Compact license accepted),
• Minimum 2 years of infusion nursing experience,
• ONS Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Provider certification required,
• Proficiency in peripheral IV insertion, central line care, medication administration, and blood transfusions,
• Driver's License required for consideration,
• SSN and DOB required for consideration,
• 2 professional references required for consideration,
Additional Information
• Responsible for administering oncology and medical infusion medications in an outpatient setting,
• Chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration experience is preferred,
• Candidates who have worked at any Maine Health facility within the past 12 months should disclose this when applying,
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any Maine Health facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and may have different pay eligibility,
• Local candidates are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions,
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; hospital-issued scrubs are not permitted,
• Travel pairs or groups are not permitted for this position,
