Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Project Manager role based in South River, NJ. The Project Manager oversees construction projects from planning through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within scope, and on budget. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing project plans, coordinating schedules, managing subcontractors and suppliers, and monitoring progress against milestones. The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, conducting site walks and inspections, identifying and resolving issues, and maintaining accurate documentation and reports.
The Project Manager collaborates with internal teams, field staff, and clients, manages change orders and RFIs, supports procurement and expediting activities, and ensures adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Project Management skills, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, scope management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Expeditor and Expediting experience to track materials, follow up with vendors, and support timely delivery of equipment and supplies.
- Inspection capabilities to review work quality, verify compliance with plans, codes, and safety standards, and document deficiencies and resolutions.
- Logistics Management skills to coordinate deliveries, site access, sequencing of trades, and resource allocation.
- Prior experience in construction project management or a closely related field, preferably with commercial or industrial projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead meetings, prepare reports, and interact with clients and partners.
- Proficiency with project management and construction tools (e.g., MS Project or similar scheduling software, MS Office, and digital documentation platforms).
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems, make decisions under time constraints, and manage multiple priorities on an active job site.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of construction safety practices and relevant regulations; OSHA training or certification is a plus.
