Long-Term Substitute Art Teacher
Washington Township School District
Position Overview Washington Township School District seeks a long-term substitute Art Teacher to provide instruction for K-6 students across our two elementary schools, beginning on or about March 16, 2026, through the end of the school year.
Essential Responsibilities
* Deliver comprehensive art instruction to students in grades K-6
* Implement engaging, age-appropriate art curriculum aligned with New Jersey Student Learning Standards
* Maintain a safe, supportive, and creative classroom environment
* Assess student progress and maintain accurate records
* Collaborate with classroom teachers and administration
* Supervise students during art classes and related activities
Required Qualifications
* Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate with Art endorsement (P-12 or K-12) OR
* Valid New Jersey Substitute Credential with Art certification/endorsement
* Demonstrated knowledge of art techniques, materials, and instructional methods
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience
* Experience working with elementary-aged students
* Familiarity with K-6 art curriculum development
