Overview

Odyssey House is seeking a Full-Time Intake Coordinator for our Criminal Justice Program!

Summary: The Intake Coordinator is the first point of connection for clients entering our recovery programs. This role blends compassion with precision — ensuring individuals feel welcomed and supported while maintaining accurate records, organized systems, and smooth coordination across teams.

Location: South Salt Lake City

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am - 4 pm

Key Responsibilities

Client Intake & Communication

  • Serve as the liaison between Jail staff and courts regarding new clients
  • Serve as the primary contact for new referrals and program inquiries
  • Conduct intake screenings and collect required documentation
  • Schedule assessments, orientations, and program placements
  • Maintain professional, trauma-informed, and recovery-aware communication

Data & Systems Management

  • Enter and maintain accurate client data in databases and tracking systems
  • Manage spreadsheets for referrals, enrollment status, waitlists, and reporting
  • Ensure documentation compliance with organizational and funding requirements
  • Generate routine reports for program and leadership teams

Coordination & Administration

  • Collaborate with case managers, clinicians, and program staff to ensure smooth onboarding
  • Track deadlines, follow-ups, and required paperwork
  • Maintain organized digital and physical files
  • Support audits and program reporting needs
  • Maintain client updates and information to courts, legal and collateral contacts

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in an administrative, intake, or coordination role
  • Strong technical skills, including:
    • Spreadsheet proficiency (Excel or Google Sheets — formulas, sorting, tracking)
    • Comfort learning databases or case management systems
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to balance compassion with boundaries in a recovery-focused environment

Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of required pre-employment screenings
