As a Maintenance Technician
, you will focus on performing repairs and overall maintenance of the facilities and grounds of Med Vet hospitals in Salt Lake City, Sunset, and Sandy, UT. You will work collaboratively with the Facilities Manager, Operations, Real Estate, and Clinical teams to provide building and equipment maintenance oversight and project management.

• Support Med Vet sites for facilities‑related needs.
• Develop and maintain responsive communication with all levels of the organization, handling complaints, conflict resolution, and operational considerations such as fire and life safety testing.
• Ensure requests are acknowledged within 24 hours, prioritized based on other requests or projects, and proactively communicate status and resolution time.
• Complete and/or delegate project tasks submitted.
• Manage assigned projects from definition to execution; projects may include small retrofits, remodels, or equipment installations.
• Accountable for completing inspections of the interior and exterior of the building and following up on any deficiencies noted.
• Maintain all fire and life safety systems according to local code and in a way that protects clients and employees at all times.
• Manage and oversee any equipment or asset inventory.
• Oversee the following areas:
  • Facilities equipment maintenance
  • Facilities service providers
  • Facilities safety
  • Facilities small projects
• Provide facilities‑related on‑call support.
• Med Vet provides all tools to complete job assignments.

• Minimum 1 year of facilities operations/maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated acumen to support day‑to‑day maintenance functions.
• Hands‑on experience performing building repair tasks and managing small, medium, and large projects with high quality.
• Experience using power tools.
• Comfort with automated building systems, EMS (Energy Management Systems), and other enterprise software is a plus.
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience with computer‑based maintenance software and help‑desk systems is a plus.
• Willingness to travel between Med Vet hospitals in Salt Lake City, Sandy, and Sunset, UT (mileage reimbursement). Approximate time spent: 40% in Salt Lake City, 40% in Sunset, 20% in Sandy.
• Must complete Med Vet’s drug screen, background, and MVR checks.
