Are you looking for a career where you can see the results of your hustle? Sick of sitting behind a desk or working jobs with no future?
At Excel Cabinets
, we’ve been leading the Utah cabinet industry for over 30 years. We carry a wide variety of cabinet lines to fit any project—from straightforward large project layouts, residential, to remodels. We are expanding our in-house field team and looking for two types of people:
seasoned installation pros who want steady work, and motivated beginners who want to learn a high‑paying trade from the ground up.
Choose the Track That Fits You:
Track 1:
The True Apprentice (No Experience Required)
Most "apprentice" jobs out there demand 2 years of experience. Not us. If you have a killer work ethic, show up on time, and know how to read a tape measure,
we will train you. You'll partner with our elite Installers and get paid to learn a lifelong craft.
- No Tools Needed to Start: We provide what you need while you learn, giving you plenty of time to build up your own toolkit as you grow into a cabinet Installer.
- What you’ll do: Learn to read layouts, stage materials, master power tools, and execute precision leveling and adjustments.
- Requirements: A reliable vehicle, a smartphone, and a desire to learn.
Track 2:
Cabinet Installer (Experienced Pro)
You know the trade, you have your tools, and you take pride in flawless crown molding, scribing, and face‑frame adjustments. You want a steady pipeline of diverse projects without the headache of chasing down contractors for payment.
- What you’ll do: Complete residential remodels, new construction, and multi‑family/apartment installations on schedule, troubleshoot layouts on the fly, and deliver clean craftsmanship.
- Requirements: 2+ years of residential or commercial cabinet installation (framed and frameless styles), your own reliable setup of hand/power tools, and the ability to read project layouts perfectly.
What a Week Looks Like at Excel:
- Diverse Projects: Every week is different. You’ll work on everything from single‑family home remodels to larger projects.
- Tech‑Forward Workflows: No messy paperwork. Use your smartphone to track jobs, upload photos of your finished work, and communicate directly with the office.
- Team Backing: A dedicated design and scheduling team making sure your jobs are ready for you when you arrive. No wasted time.
- Must be at least 18 years old and physically able to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
- A functioning smartphone capable of running our field communication apps.
- Fluency in English and a respectful, professional attitude on job sites.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation to navigate to various job sites across the Wasatch Front.
- Ready to build a career that pays? Apply today and let us know whether you’re ready for the Apprentice or Experienced Cabinet Installer!
