Property Accountant Contract Opportunities

Are you a Property Accountant seeking contract assignments? We are looking for a Property Accountant to work for clients in the South San Francisco surrounding area. The roles may vary between 4-6 month contract engagements. This role is responsible for the full-cycle accounting of a portfolio of commercial and/or residential properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

• Perform full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial and/or residential properties
• Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Complete month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Reconcile bank accounts, tenant ledgers, CAM reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts
• Analyze operating expenses, budgets, and variances
• Review rent rolls, lease abstracts, and tenant billing activity
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management functions
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Partner with property managers and operational leaders to resolve accounting discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
