- 5+ years as a Controller within the construction industry, supporting companies with approximately $15M to $75M in annual revenue (slight stretch candidates may be considered).
- Hands-on ownership of the month-end close process, including percentage-of-completion accounting and revenue recognition.
- Strong Work-in-Progress (WIP) experience, including building, maintaining, and analyzing WIP schedules.
- Bonding experience required. Must have personally prepared and maintained WIP schedules relied upon by bonding companies and sureties for bond underwriting, including job profitability forecasting, percentage-of-completion reporting, and related surety reporting.
- Experience with California union payroll, prevailing wage, certified payroll, and DIR compliance across multiple union locals.
- Hands-on Controller mentality with the ability to operate in a lean environment and manage both strategic and day-to-day accounting responsibilities.
