Payroll Specialist

A growing organization is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support a payroll system implementation project. This role will play a key part in parallel payroll testing, validation, and reconciliation efforts while also assisting with day-to-day payroll processing activities. Experience participating in a payroll system implementation is highly preferred, and Workday Payroll experience is a plus.

• Execute and support parallel payroll testing during a payroll system implementation.
• Compare legacy payroll results to new system outputs and identify discrepancies.
• Research, document, and resolve payroll variances during testing cycles.
• Assist with payroll processing, audits, and payroll reconciliations.
• Validate employee earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefit calculations.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and implementation teams to ensure data accuracy and timely issue resolution.
• Maintain testing documentation, payroll records, and process workflows.
• Support payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
