School Community Liaison- Child Development
Job Summary:
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, promote and coordinate the delivery of services to the identified students and parents through involvement in various school programs and other activities; perform liaison duties between schools and parents; refer families to local agencies or school services as appropriate; locate and identify students and families in accordance with the established guidelines; prepare and maintain related files, records, and reports.
Conduct 6 home visits per family as stated in project contract; attend all monthly parent education meetings as scheduled.
Education and Experience:
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one year of experience working in an instructional or community service program or related field.
Licenses and Other Requirements:
- Valid California driver’s license and proof of current California auto liability insurance at time of appointment, and throughout employment in this classification.
- Personal automobile for job-related travel.
- Incumbents in this classification are required to speak, read and write in a designated second language.
