Make Impact in South San Francisco | High School SPED Teacher

We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join a high school team in South San Francisco, CA for the first semester of the school year
. This position will provide coverage for a leave through approximately the end of January
, with the possibility of extending through the remainder of the school year.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to high school students with extensive support needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor student IEP goals.
• Adapt curriculum and instructional materials based on individual student needs.
• Provide academic, functional, behavioral, communication, and life-skills support as appropriate.
• Monitor student progress and maintain required Special Education documentation.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related-service providers, General Education teachers, families, and administrators.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration.

Requirements

• Active California CTC Education Specialist credential authorizing Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN).
• Experience working with students requiring extensive levels of support preferred.
• High school Special Education experience preferred.

Compensation for this position ranges from $35.34 to $50.34. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
