Senior Research And Development Engineer

Bio Talent is partnering with a venture capital-backed medical device startup to find a Senior R&D Engineer to join their growing team at an exciting stage of development. This is a hands-on product development role owning design from concept through commercialization on a minimally invasive surgical device platform.

• Design and develop new products from concept to market release
• Implement new methodologies, materials, and processes supporting product development and manufacturing transfer
• Build test and assembly fixtures for product development and manufacturing
• Manage design control requirements and product development timelines
• Perform verification and validation testing
• Conduct feasibility studies including animal and cadaver studies
• Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and sales teams
• Contribute to IP development and invention disclosures

• B.S. in Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of medical device R&D experience
• Proficiency in Solid Works
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with aggressive timelines
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 base | Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k)
