Senior Machine Learning Engineer

We’re working with a fast-growing, AI-first biotech company applying large-scale machine learning to some of the most complex datasets in science. The team is building foundation-level models over high-dimensional, multimodal data, with the goal of uncovering structure, causality, and signal at biological scale. This is a deeply technical environment where machine learning systems are designed from first principles and deployed into production, not confined to research notebooks.

They are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to help architect, train, and deploy next-generation models operating at the limits of modern compute.

• Design, build, and train modern neural network architectures, including Transformer-based and foundation model approaches
• Develop scalable, compute-efficient training pipelines for large, complex datasets
• Work on distributed training systems and performance-critical ML infrastructure
• Collaborate closely with research and applied teams to turn new ideas into robust, production-ready systems
• Contribute to long-term architectural decisions across the ML stack

• Strong background in machine learning engineering, through a degree or equivalent industry experience

• Hands-on experience with PyTorch, JAX, or Tensor Flow
• Experience training models at scale, including distributed systems, large-batch training, or hardware-optimized ML
• Comfort operating across both research and production environments
• Experience with biological or scientific data is not required, but curiosity and systems-level thinking are important
