Position Summary

Senior Director, Global IT Infrastructure & Service Operations to lead worldwide IT infrastructure strategy and deliver reliable, high-performance end-user experiences across the US and China.

Job Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end architecture, design, modernization, and operations of global IT infrastructure across US/China (cloud platforms, networking, compute clusters, storage, endpoints, identity, collaboration).
  • Lead Microsoft-centric services (Microsoft 365, Intune, endpoint management, collaboration) and ensure support for heavy/demanding AI tool usage.
  • Build AI-ready scalable infrastructure (GPU/accelerated compute, dataset/model storage, low-latency networking, elastic scaling), across cloud providers as needed.
  • Architect/manage global networking; oversee enterprise networking; implement dedicated low-latency links (e.g., IPLC/MPLS); lead ZTNA and secure web gateway (e.g., Zscaler); manage always-on VPN.
  • Own enterprise security stack (next-gen firewalls, intrusion prevention, EDR/response, UTM) and secure‑by‑design (encryption, identity federation, certificates, scanning/patching, zero trust).
  • Oversee storage/data management and high‑availability/backup/recovery; lead endpoint engineering and MDM (e.g., JAMF + Intune).
  • Build and lead global Service Management/Helpdesk (24/7, VIP, site operations), deliver end‑user support/training, streamline ticketing, define SLAs/KPIs/ITIL/automation.
  • Partner with AI/data engineering on infrastructure roadmaps, 24/7 AI operational support, and enterprise AI adoption.
Education/Qualifications (Required/Preferred)
  • BS in CS/IS/Engineering or equivalent (MS preferred).
  • 12+ years IT; 8+ years senior leadership of global Infrastructure/Operations; 8+ years biotech/pharma clinical operations (Phase II–III) (preferred: GxP/SOX).
  • Proven global Service Desk/Helpdesk leadership; deep Microsoft Cloud (M365/Azure/Intune) and broad infrastructure knowledge.
  • Hands‑on global networking (Fortinet/Cisco/Meraki, SD‑WAN), security (Fortinet, Zscaler ZTNA/VPN), storage, MDM (JAMF preferred).
  • Experience enabling enterprise AI tools (e.g., Copilot/ChatGPT); global multi‑site operations (US + APAC/China highly valued).
  • Vendor/MSP management; $5–10M+ budgeting; ITIL frameworks; strong executive communication.
