Technical Coordinator
This position is on-site 6 days a month. While the schedule and amount can change, it usually occurs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays of weeks 2 and 4 of the month. The technical coordinator will arrange meetings, track work, and document findings for Health Data Services work efforts. In particular, the coordinator will ensure that the Director of Health Data Services is informed about ongoing projects and that staff are aware of decisions made in meetings with the Director.
Examples of duties include creating work structures, policies, and procedures; creating forms and work trackers; managing staff deliverables; managing vendor relationships; and managing staff training.
The goal of this position is to support a well-functioning team in creating structures that enable work to scale and enhance customer communication. The data team has numerous small technical projects that require coordination and reporting to operational users. The team leader needs help organizing the work, creating process and procedure documents, and developing proper reporting tools. It is anticipated that once the tools are developed, the need for a coordinator will diminish.
Requirements include at least 2 years of project coordinator experience. Preference is given for experience in healthcare or government. Preference is also given for experience in county health care.
Qualifications must include being self-driven, being able to produce from minimal direction, speaking proficient English, and understanding basic project principles. Experience with PMI or PMP language is a bonus. Experience working with data engineers is a bonus.
Education and experience include a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include advanced Excel, MS Project or Smartsheet project management software, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
