Job SummaryThe Therapeutic Area Analytics & Insights Senior Manager – CVRM in Digital, Data, and Analytics is a strategic advisor to key stakeholders and an integral contributor to Genentech’s Commercial, Medical, and Government Affairs (CMG). This role involves developing actionable insights and strategic recommendations to inform timely business decisions across therapeutic areas, ecosystems, and business domains. The Senior Manager functions as an individual contributor, providing strategic recommendations with moderate guidance, influencing senior leaders, and collaborating across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with stakeholders to deeply understand business needs, key questions, and priorities.
- Perform custom analyses using appropriate analytic techniques to address business challenges.
- Adopt an enterprise mindset, linking individual responsibilities to broader organizational goals and focusing on outcomes that deliver business and patient value.
- Contribute to continuous organizational improvement by sharing best practices, identifying automation opportunities, and enhancing analytics workflows.
- Advise stakeholders to define clear, impactful business priorities and develop action plans.
- Develop strategic options and recommendations by synthesizing findings across therapeutic areas, ecosystems, or analytic domains.
- Communicate and influence senior leaders, tailoring messages to specific audiences.
- Autonomously manage all stakeholders with limited manager guidance and proactive upward management.
- Lead and mentor the community of practice, facilitating discussions and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment.
- Adapt to evolving priorities and deliver impactful insights across one or more of the following capabilities:
Market Research, Forecasting, Competitive Intelligence, Data Analytics, Access, Digital Measurement.
- 5 years of relevant work experience (or equivalent with advanced education).
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience synthesizing concise summaries focused on key insights that inform business decisions.
- Experience supporting pipeline and business development strategy through analytics‑driven assessments and portfolio prioritization.
- Comfortable working within a highly matrixed organization and handling uncertainty.
- Strong results orientation and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Computer or Physical Sciences.
- MBE or graduate‑level degree.
- Proven leadership, time‑management, project‑management, and teamwork skills.
- Experience in the CVRM therapeutic area.
- Deep cross‑functional insights and analytics experience across the following domains:
