We are seeking an experienced
Application Project Manager
to lead the application workstream for UCSF Health's Laboratory and Pharmacy Relocation Program. This role will manage the planning, coordination, and execution of Epic application build, implementation, and optimization activities supporting the relocation of centralized Lab and Pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will have strong healthcare IT project management experience with Epic applications, stakeholder management, and enterprise technology implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of Epic application implementation and optimization projects.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, resources, and project governance.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including clinical operations, IT, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
  • Drive project planning, status reporting, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and change management.
  • Oversee Epic application build activities for Laboratory (Beaker) or Pharmacy (Willow) initiatives.
  • Ensure successful system integration, testing, operational readiness, and go-live support.
  • Facilitate stakeholder communication and executive reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement project management best practices and ensure on-time, high-quality project delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of Project Management experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of Healthcare IT experience.
  • Experience managing enterprise technology implementation projects.
  • Strong expertise in:

  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management
  • Budget & Resource Management
  • Change Management
  • Executive Communication
  • Experience with Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization projects.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
