Technical Program Manager Intern; Summer

What the role actually is

Zipline is hiring a summer 2027 technical program manager intern in South San Francisco. The internship sits inside a company building and operating autonomous drone delivery systems.

The role is relevant because TPM work at Zipline is close to hardware, autonomy, manufacturing, and field operations rather than a purely internal software process.

• Support technical program plans for autonomous delivery systems
• Help track milestones, dependencies, risks, and cross-functional work
• Work with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
• Learn how product execution works inside a deployed robotics company

• Interest in technical program management for complex hardware, autonomy, aerospace, or robotics systems
• Strong organization and communication skills across technical teams
• Ability to work onsite in South San Francisco during the summer internship
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving product and operations environment

Good robotics TPM internships are uncommon because they require exposure to both engineering detail and deployment reality. Zipline is a strong environment for that because its systems are already operating at scale.
