About the Company

This role is hands‑on lab operations work that directly supports an automated workflow: accurate inputs, clean inventory, and reliable receiving are what keep the automation running.

About the Role

This role involves hands‑on lab operations work that directly supports an automated workflow.

Responsibilities

Compound handling & precision weighing (primary)

  • Accurately weigh solid compounds/reagents (mg to g scale) on analytical balances
  • Prepare labeled aliquots and staging sets that feed automated/robotic workflows
  • Maintain clean, contamination‑aware weighing practices (gloves, anti‑static control, clean tools)
  • Record weights, lot numbers, IDs, and operator/date in a traceable format

Stock solution preparation

  • Prepare stock solutions from SOPs (target molarity/concentration, dilution math, mixing)
  • Label and document concentrations, solvent, date, operator, and storage conditions
  • Flag solubility issues, discrepancies, or labeling/inventory mismatches

Receiving, staging & inventory (automation‑ready)

  • Receive shipments, verify contents vs packing slips/POs, and triage issues (damage, missing items)
  • Log inventory and assign locations so materials are retrievable fast and consistently
  • Put away chemicals and supplies in correct storage (ambient/fridge/freezer/flammables/corrosives)

General lab ops support

  • Keep weighing/receiving areas organized, audit‑ready, and safe
  • Assist with periodic cycle counts and basic inventory cleanup
  • Follow chemical hygiene and safety procedures consistently
Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail; comfortable following SOPs and producing clean records
  • Comfort with basic lab math (molarity, dilutions) and working carefully with chemicals
  • Reliable and consistent availability for scheduled shifts (night shift ok)
  • Basic computer comfort (simple inventory tools)
Preferred Skills
  • Prior lab assistant / lab ops / stockroom / receiving experience
  • Familiarity with SDS, chemical compatibility storage, and labeling norms
Physical requirements

  • Ability to stand at a bench for extended periods
