Kelly Engineering seeks a Mechanical Assembler to join our clients growing team building construction robots and other heavy-duty equipment designed for real-world job sites. This is a hands-on assembly position where you'll work from technical drawings, use a variety of tools, and help bring mechanical and electro-mechanical systems together.

The ideal candidate has solid mechanical aptitude, pays close attention to detail, and enjoys building and troubleshooting physical equipment.

** Responsibilities*
* + Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical components including frames, brackets, panels, and actuators.

+ Work from blueprints, assembly drawings, schematics, and written work instructions.

+ Use hand and power tools to assemble, fasten, position, and adjust components.

+ Measure components and verify fit, alignment, and tolerances using calipers, gauges, and other measurement tools.

+ Install and route cables, hoses, and basic wire harnesses.

+ Perform basic functional checks on completed assemblies and record results.

+ Safely move and position larger components using appropriate lifting equipment.

+ Keep the assembly area organized, clean, and ready for production.

+ Track parts and communicate inventory needs to the appropriate team.

+ Follow required safety procedures and report potential hazards.

+ Identify opportunities to improve assembly processes, quality, and efficiency.

** What You'll Need:*
* + 1+ years of mechanical assembly experience, preferably involving manufacturing, heavy equipment, robotics, or electro-mechanical products.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability.

+ Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic measurement equipment.

+ Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

+ Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift 25-50 lbs. as needed.

+ Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing/shop environment.

+ Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

** Nice to Have

Skills:

* + Experience assembling industrial robots or automated equipment.

+ Experience working in a prototype, R&D, or low-volume build environment.

+ Familiarity with electro-mechanical components such as motors, sensors, cables, and wiring harnesses.
