Overview
The Computational Scientist III is a member of the research team and contributes to design, development, maintenance, and validation of molecular assays and analytical pipelines working closely with molecular biologists, lab directors and software engineers.
Responsibilities- Make critical contributions to wide range of products in a cutting-edge clinical genomics laboratory.
- Use rigorous data science and modern software best practices to create efficient, reliable, and optimized bioinformatics tools.
- Work closely with molecular biologists, clinical scientists, software engineers, automation engineers, and data scientists.
- Characterize data resulting from novel molecular assays and guide molecular protocol development from a statistical perspective.
- Mentor junior scientists and research associates, guiding the overall path and success of key projects.
- Author posters and publications demonstrating the scientific prowess of our products and algorithms that power the products.
- Work with legal staff to secure intellectual property rights for inventions pertaining to our products.
- Communicate results to stakeholders across the organization.
