The research will begin with the study of human genetics and pathobiology and integrate multiomics approaches in human cells and mouse models to explore the intersection of immune and stromal biology. They will investigate gene regulation in cellular systems to uncover pathways that drive complex traits including cell and tissue function.

This position is within the Stromal-Immune Group of the Inflammation Therapeutic Area and focuses on generating insights that support target identification and validation and enable development of therapeutic molecules, while publishing high-impact research.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research as part of the Stromal-Immune group
  • Generate novel insights to inspire drug discovery
  • Author publications contributing to the science community, potentially impacting lives
Qualifications
  • Required:

Ph.D. in a life sciences discipline with research experience spanning in vivo experimentation and molecular or cellular biology
  • Preferred:
Demonstrated experience with mechanistic studies as well as in vitro and in vivo experimentation, including mouse models relevant to human disease and human cellular and tissue systems
  • Preferred:
Hands‑on experience with molecular engineering, gene editing and functional genomic studies
  • Preferred:
Familiarity with omics‑based approaches (e.g., single cell and spatial transcriptomics, genomics, or proteomics), preferably with experience in the computational analysis and interpretation of these data
  • Preferred:
Familiarity with usage of artificial intelligence to advance wet lab and dry lab research
  • Preferred:
Experience working with disease models to investigate underlying mechanisms or evaluate therapeutic hypotheses
  • Preferred:
Proficiency in cell culture systems, including transfection and gene expression studies
  • Preferred:
Deep scientific curiosity, independence and drive in experimental design and interpretation, and a track record of significant productivity through high impact publications and presentations
