Technical Development Principle Scientist

Job Overview

A Technical Development Principle Scientist is available in the Analytical Development Department of Pharma Technical Development. The selected candidate will serve as the analytical expert in a multi‑disciplinary CMC team and will contribute to the development of several active clinical (phase 1–3) therapeutics simultaneously.

• Design and execute analytical studies that support process development and enable successful regulatory filings (IND, BLA).
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to present data at meetings.
• Work independently and collaboratively within a fast‑paced environment to drive tasks to completion.

• Ph.D. (4–6 additional years experience) or M.S./B.S. (6–10 additional years experience) in Analytical Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Sound knowledge of protein analytical characterization or related therapeutic modalities.
• Proficiency in high performance liquid chromatography, liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry, capillary electrophoresis, and advanced spectroscopy, with at least one area of deep expertise.
• Knowledgeable about CMC development from Phase I to commercial stages.
• Self‑motivated with excellent organization, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a team member.

• Experience with small‑molecule linker drugs and antibody‑drug conjugates (ADCs).
• Experience supporting IND‑enabling and BLA‑enabling activities.

• Salary range: $120,800 – $224,300 (South San Francisco, CA) based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
• Discretionary annual bonus may be available.
