The RoleThe Analytical Operations Associate will support the Analytical Operations (AO) team in the execution of characterization testing. This is a hands‑on, laboratory‑based position located in South San Francisco.
Primary Responsibilities- Execute assays within the AO portfolio (ddPCR, ELISA, Agarose Gel Electrophoresis, and others) per AO procedures
- Prepare controls for assays and use JMP to set ranges
- Complete entry reports in Benchling following ALCOA+
- Support the AO team with development experiments, as needed
- Participate in managing lab samples and consumables
- Accurately document assay results and analyze data
- Additional duties as assigned
- Relevant Science or Engineering discipline with 0-2 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience
- Successful in operating independently and as part of a team
- Basic use of Excel functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good documentation, data organization, and attention to detail
- Prior experience with ELISA and/or ddPCR
- Basic understanding of statistics
- Prior experience with JMP
- Experience in an ALCOA+ environment
- Prior experience with Benchling or an equivalent electronic lab notebook
- Prior AAV gene therapy analytical assay experience
