Temporary Material Handler

Overview

The Material Handler I is responsible for sorting and delivering mail, processing outbound packages, and assisting with internal deliveries of laboratory products and materials.

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay: $21.45/hr

Responsibility

* Sort and deliver mail.

* Process out-bound Fed Ex packages.

* Process internal deliveries of laboratory products and materials using Oracle receiving system.

* Pull, pack, and ship customer orders through Ship Station.

* Prepare and paste labels on shipments.

* Determine storage areas for incoming shipments.

* Manage product inventory.

* Receive incoming shipments.

* Process returns.

* Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

* Must be computer literate.

* Ability to problem solve, multitask, and prioritize work.

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documentation.

* Self-motivated, able to work independently.

Physical Requirements

Lifting Requirements
-light work or exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently.

Physical Requirements
-stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, pushing or pulling, and reaching. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
