Position: Warehouse Lead at MAC Incorporated South San Francisco, CA

Warehouse Lead

MAC Incorporated is looking for a Warehouse Team Lead at its large bakery manufacturing plant in South San Francisco. This is a 3rd shift role.

Pays: $26 hourly plus $1 shift differential

Working in a bakery can provide hands‑on experience in various aspects of baking, from preparation to customer service. Employees often have the chance to learn new techniques, experiment with recipes, and develop their culinary skills.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the warehouse manager on efficiencies, labor and warehouse organization.
  • Gather, record and report on warehouse accuracy and efficiency metrics, whether manually or via automated systems.
  • Communicate to management when there are concerns within the warehouse and with warehouse team members.
  • Understand and communicate written policies, quality, sanitation and safety standards.
  • Comply with HACCP plan and food safety requirements.
  • Review warehouse documentation daily, including forklift inspection sheets, receiving logs, and daily GMP walks for completion and accuracy.
  • Ensure accurate labeling and storage of ingredient pallets and finished pallets in the freezer and dry area of the warehouse.
  • Support warehouse team for fulfilling production ingredient orders and ensure orders are delivered complete and timely.
  • Enter data daily into PO Update and inventory tracking system accurately.
  • Verify warehouse team members are accurately entering data into PO Update report and inventory tracking systems.
  • Verify transfers are completed accurately and timely prior to dispatch.
  • Verify customers are completed accurately and timely prior to dispatch.
  • Provide coaching, direction and leadership to support the team.
  • Provide forklift training for new team members and every 3 years for existing members.
  • Maintain regular and consistent punctual attendance.
  • Recognize others and suggest thoughtful ideas on how to build team morale.
  • Address conflict quickly and resolve immediate issues or potential barriers so self/others can work together.
  • Notify management of any potential food safety or quality issue.
  • Ensure occupational safety is a priority in the warehouse and report any unsafe equipment or behavior.
  • Understand and adhere to GMP and Food Safety practices to comply with SQF and regulatory requirements.
Summary of Experience

Experience in training and coaching members of a team.

Experience in perishable warehouse operations or in a related area. 2-3 2-3

Basic Qualifications
  • Desirable high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Computer skills desirable (a plus, but not required).
  • Forklift certification and driver’s license.
