Mechanical Engineer

Industry: Construction / Mechanical Systems

What they’re looking for:

• 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience
  , preferably within construction
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Strong field-based mechanical construction experience
• Hands‑on knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems
  , including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, piping, hydronic systems, heat exchangers, AHUs, and controls
• Experience with plumbing and fire protection systems
• Experience working on the General Contractor (GC) side and supporting project delivery
• Strong project management, coordination, and contractor management experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and engineering software
• Strong communication and ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams

Experience that would be especially valuable:

• Mechanical system installation and field execution
• Understanding how cooling equipment, water, airflow, piping, and controls interact
• Equipment startup, flushing, pressure testing, and functional testing
• Controls integration and troubleshooting
• Commissioning and turnover experience
• Punch‑list resolution and turnover documentation
• L2–L4 commissioning or systems integration experience
• Semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or other complex industrial construction experience

The ideal candidate will be someone who has actually been in the field
, understands how mechanical systems are installed and integrated, and can identify construction issues rather than being limited to design or engineering‑office work.
