Maintenance Technician – South Sioux City, NE at Burlington Capital

Burlington Capital Properties is a nationally recognized property management company offering a full‑time Maintenance Technician position in South Sioux City, Nebraska. We are looking for individuals who take pride and ownership in their work and provide friendly, quality service that our residents deserve.

This full‑time position requires Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with emergency on‑call evenings and weekends. The on‑call schedule will be discussed during interviews.

• Perform all interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings, and grounds according to established procedures.
• Regularly communicate with the supervisor regarding status of service requests and make‑ready units.
• Complete vacant units to make‑ready status per established procedures.
• Inspect work performed by outside contractors.
• Inspect and/or perform exterior maintenance ensuring high level curb appeal.
• Continually monitor budgeted maintenance expenses.
• Ensure that all Federal, State and County Health and Safety Codes, Laws and Standards are followed.
• Regularly inspect common areas to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
• Participate in resident functions as requested by management.
• Maintenance team members may be required to be “on call”.

• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in multi‑family maintenance or equivalent field.
• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• HVAC certification required.
• Working knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general building trades.
• Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision.
• Basic understanding of the English language and effective communication skills.
• Positive interaction with residents, employees, vendors, and the general public.
