Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic

Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Diesel Mechanic, based out of their S. Sioux City NE facility. With over 70 branches nationwide, this company is growing fast and offers substantial opportunity for career advancement.
Experience with cranes (RT or truck cranes) or heavy lifting equipment (CAT, John Deere, etc), and a Class A CDL (or the ability to obtain one) are highly preferred criteria, and will give you a huge advantage over other candidates!
Compensation: $/hr + (DOE)
What You Will DoWill take ownership of maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy equipment, keeping operations running safely and efficiently. In this role, you will:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and diagnostics on diesel engines, cranes, trailers, forklifts, and more
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, including onboard computer systems
- Work both in the shop and in the field, giving you a mix of stability and variety
- Operate independently, managing your day-to-day workload while collaborating with the team
- Occasional travel (approx. 100 mile radius) to support field service needs
- At least 4 years US Military Active Duty experience required
- 5+ years of diesel or heavy equipment mechanic experience (prior experience with cranes or heavy lifting equipment highly preferable.)
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Must provide your own standard tools (specialty tools provided.)
- Class A CDL (or the ability to obtain one) highly preferred
- Experience working on cranes (RT or truck cranes), background with heavy equipment (CAT, John Deere, etc.) highly preferred
