Sysco has immediate job openings for CDL A Delivery Truck Driver Trainees without a CDL to train to become dependable Delivery Partners. You will train for your Class-A CDL, including how to safely operate a tractor-trailer, to unload/deliver various products to an assigned route schedule, and build relationships with each customer using a positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

• Unload product from the trailer by hand or using a hand cart and place it in designated customer storage areas.
• Transport product down ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather conditions.
• Constantly bend and twist while loading and unloading product and retrieve items from the trailer.
• Verify delivery of items with the customer and obtain proper signatures.
• Contact management for authorization when there are discrepancies on invoices and communicate all errors or returns.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities following the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Sysco policies.
• Pickup, load, and unload damaged goods and customer returns, and complete necessary paperwork.
• Complete DOT logs (electronic or manual as required), company vehicle maintenance reports, and reconcile with the appropriate company representative as required.
• Deliver product within the assigned route schedule and time windows.
• Immediately inform the management team of any deviations.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must obtain a valid CDL Permit and DOT medical certification prior to pre-employment background check.
• Must submit to and pass pre-employment testing (drug screen, background check).
• Must obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within ninety (90) days of the start date to remain actively employed.
• Must have one year of distribution/warehouse experience or other military experience; veterans may be eligible for a Skill Bridge program to obtain CDL permit and DOT medical certification.

• Driver's license with a clean driving record (no single DUI in the last three years and no multiple DUIs within the last seven years).

• Strong communication skills.
• Good mathematical and arithmetic skills.
• Must have a winning, positive attitude.

• Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs up to 100 pounds.
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches to stack and unstack pallets.

• Must have schedule flexibility, including overtime hours, working weekends and holidays, and the ability to start and end at a variety of times to meet customer needs.
