Title: Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift
Pay: $36.50 per hour
Location: 130 Hardman Ave S, South Saint Paul, MN 55075
Hours:
- 2nd shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM; 5 Days On / 2 Days Off
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM; 5 Days On / 2 Days Off
Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support production operations on 3rd shift. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing production machinery, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and supporting preventative maintenance efforts to minimize equipment downtime.
Job Description- Perform preventative maintenance and timely repairs on production machinery and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues and determine appropriate repairs.
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions and verify completed repairs.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, motors, instrumentation, distribution systems, and feed control systems.
- Support equipment changeovers and production line startups.
- Complete assigned work orders and maintain detailed maintenance records and logs.
- Identify required replacement parts and assist with maintaining parts inventory and reorder lists.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures, GMP requirements, OSHA standards, and company safety policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend improvements to equipment and processes.
- Maintain production equipment to support quality, safety, and productivity standards.
- Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment
. - Knowledge of motors, instrumentation, electrical distribution, and control systems.
- Preventative maintenance and equipment repair experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical information.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to document completed maintenance work accurately.
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout and manufacturing safety procedures.
- Ability to lift 50–80 lbs and work on ladders, manlifts, and scissor lifts.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a manufacturing environment.
