, a division of GI Alliance, is looking for a full‑time experienced Front Desk Coordinator to join our South Windsor Care Center
. We are the largest gastroenterology practice in the state of Connecticut with over 30 Care Centers and are still growing. - Providing a remarkable patient experience: schedule office visits, confirm appointments, update patient insurance and demographic information, answer incoming calls, and document using Epic EMR.
- Attention to detail: compose, process, and follow up on electronic phone messages and alerts.
- Team player: use EMR to answer quick questions appropriate for administrative staff.
- Versatility: process insurance authorizations when required.
- Expertise: monitor the schedule of assigned providers, noting and correcting errors as appropriate.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer‑service skills (3+ years of professional experience).
- Prior front‑desk experience in a medical setting.
- Experience with an EMR system is ideal;
Epic experience is a plus. - Microsoft Office: 3 years (Required).
- Customer Service: 3 years (Required).
- EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred).

- Schedule:
8‑hour day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm - Work location:

- Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of computer programs and applications.
- Basic arithmetic: make calculations, balance and reconcile figures, and make changes accurately.
- Skill in operating office equipment.
- Skill in handling paperwork and filing appropriately.
- Skill in handling incoming phone calls and triaging appropriately.
- Skill in written and verbal communication.
- Ability to learn/use other computer programs including Microsoft Excel, e‑mail, Internet, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems.
- Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
