Description:

South Windsor Public Schools is seeking a long term substitute instructional para educator at Pleasant Valley Elementary School. This assignment is to begin around February 2, 2026 and is expected to continue for the remainder of the  school year.

South Windsor is a diverse community of approximately 27,000 citizens and more than 5,100 public school students. SWPS is comprised of four elementary schools, one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12), all of which cultivate and support culturally responsive classrooms and learning communities.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with school age children in a special education program is desired. Assistance with toileting and lifting may be required. Applicant must possess an associate's degree, two years of college credits, or have passed the Para Pro exam.

Salary: $16.35 per hour, approximately 29 hours per week.
