Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to ensure equipment is operating at optimal levels.
- Collaborate with production managers and engineers to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Order and maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment.
- Train production staff on proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree or certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Production Equipment Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
- 3+ years experience within a production environment with resultant knowledge of equipment repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Proven proficiency in the operation and repair of high-speed production equipment is necessary.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
