Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Program CNC turning and milling centers based on engineering drawings and specifications
- Create 3D models from drawings using Mastercam
- Develop efficient sequences of operations and optimal fixturing strategies
- Select and optimize tooling, cutters, and holders for quality and cycle time improvement
- Manage CNC program configuration control and revision accuracy
- Improve existing programs to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput
- Communicate directly with machinists and operators on setup and program effectiveness
- Deploy CNC programs through the Visual ERP work order system
- Support cost estimating with setup and machining time estimates
- Generate work instructions and process sheets for operators
- Assist operators during setup and troubleshooting as needed
- Maintain accurate job records and documentation
- Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to meet department and company goals
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience
- Strong experience programming CNC lathes and milling machines
- Required:
4‑Axis programming experience - Preferred: 5‑Axis programming experience
- Experience with machine automation and pallet changing systems
- Background with horizontal machining centers
- Proven fixture design and implementation experience
- Strong tooling knowledge and optimization skills
- Ability to program and support multiple machines simultaneously
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills
- U.S. Person status required per export control regulations
