The Deburr Bench Technician performs precision finishing operations on machined aerospace components within the Lean flow line. This role ensures components are free from burrs and surface imperfections before inspection or downstream processes.
By maintaining high finishing quality and efficient processing, the Deburr Technician supports defect prevention and helps maintain first-pass yield across the value stream.
This role supports:
- Creation of standard work
- Maintaining standard work
- Training and coaching of standard work
- Improvement of standard work
- Remove burrs and sharp edges from machined parts.
- Perform precision finishing using hand tools and equipment.
- Inspect parts for conformance to engineering specifications.
- Prepare parts for inspection or subsequent processing steps.
- Maintain organized work areas consistent with 5S standards.
- Operate other equipment in the cell as necessary to keep product flowing at takt.
- Manufacturing or finishing experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work with small precision components.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs.
- Bench finishing environment within the manufacturing shop floor.
