Position OverviewThis is a Direct Hire Opportunity. As a Machinist I (CNC Turn), you will operate CNC turning (lathe) machines to produce precision aerospace components. You will perform machine setups, make minor program edits and adjustments, inspect finished parts, and ensure all work meets blueprint and quality specifications. This is an entry-level aerospace machining role requiring 0–2 years of experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC turning (lathe) machines and related equipment
- Make program edits and machine adjustments to ensure part accuracy
- Operate multiple machines in a cellular manufacturing environment
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders
- Apply basic understanding of feeds, speeds, and cutting tools
- Inspect parts for dimensional and quality compliance
- Maintain accurate production records (counts, scrap, time, etc.)
- Perform routine machine maintenance and coolant system upkeepli>
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all safety standards
- Assist and support more experienced machinists as needed
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 0–2 years CNC machining experience (turning/lathe preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
