Position Overview

Lead High‑Speed Insert Operator – South Windsor, CT (On‑site, 100% location assigned)

Basic

Purpose:

Oversee daily shift operations to meet client‑driven deadlines, ensure quality processes are followed, and administer high‑speed inserting equipment for production and assembly of client output.

• Act as a leader for Insert/High‑Speed Insert Operators and assume supervisory duties in the supervisor’s absence.
• Set up each job by loading paper and verifying materials against work orders.
• Perform quality checks, complete all required documentation, and troubleshoot basic machine issues.
• Move operators between machines as needed to meet delivery dates (DODs).
• Cover lunch or break periods to meet critical DODs when requested.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with safety procedures.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and authorized repairs on equipment.
• Resolve systems issues proactively and seek guidance as needed.
• Meet and maintain monthly Operator Efficiency Goals.
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a fast‑paced production environment (preferred).
• Technical knowledge of all insert equipment.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic math skills and good verbal and written communication.

Hourly Range: $21.56 – $27.78 USD (based on experience). Bonus eligible.

Shift: LWN – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and alternate Saturday 6:00PM to 6:00AM.
