Assembly Technician – Brazing
Looking for a hands-on manufacturing role where your mechanical skills and attention to detail really matter?
We're hiring an Assembly Technician – Brazing to join a manufacturing team in South Windsor, CT. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in brazing, soldering, welding, assembly, or manufacturing who enjoys working with tools, equipment, and precision components.
And with a Friday–Sunday schedule, you can work three days and have the rest of the week available!
Location:
South Windsor, CT Pay: $22–$27/hour
Schedule:
Friday–Sunday 12-hour shifts | 1st or 3rd shift available
- Perform brazing and assembly operations according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Prepare, position, align, and fit components before brazing
- Operate brazing equipment, torches, fixtures, and hand tools
- Inspect completed assemblies for proper fit, appearance, and workmanship
- Use calipers, gauges, and other basic precision measuring tools
- Identify and report defects or quality concerns
- Complete production and inspection documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
- Support additional assembly, fabrication, and manufacturing tasks as needed
- Previous brazing, soldering, welding, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and follow basic drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive assembly work
- Ability to safely handle materials, tools, and equipment
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Torch brazing or silver brazing
- Working with copper, brass, steel, aluminum, or similar materials
- Manufacturing or production assembly
- Using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other measuring equipment
- Lean manufacturing or quality-control practices
- $22–$27/hour
- Work Friday–Sunday and enjoy a 3-day workweek
- 1st or 3rd shift options
