Pollution Control Operator I or II
Position:
Pollution Control Operator I or II – DOQ (AFSCME Union)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with an N endorsement within 1 year of service
- Must obtain Connecticut D.E.E.P. Class I Operator’s Wastewater Certificate within two years of hire
- High School Graduate or equivalent training; vocational or high school shop courses or equivalent on-the-job training desirable
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with an N endorsement
- Must obtain Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Class II Operator’s Certificate within three years of appointment
- Must obtain New England Water Environment Association Collection System II Certification within two years of appointment
Strong consideration will be given to electrical, mechanical, and/or plumbing experience.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
Operator I – $34.06/hr operator II – $38.32/hr.
