The City of Hartford, within the Equipment Services Division of the Public Works Department, seeks a skilled journeyman automotive mechanic. You will diagnose, repair, and recondition a variety of light municipal fleet vehicles, including police cruisers, and perform emergency tow operations as needed.
You will read blueprints, interpret diagrams, and operate a wide range of automotive equipment. A valid driver’s license is required, and the position offers a 40-hour work week in a union setting.
