Procurement Assistant & Administrator - Mooinooi Type: Permanent
Location: Mooinooi, North West
Salary: R20 000 pm
Role Overview An established organisation is seeking a proactive, organised and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant and Administrator to join its procurement team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support, coordinate with suppliers and assist with purchasing processes to ensure procurement activities run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the procurement team with sourcing and purchasing goods and services.
- Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and promptly.
- Maintain complete and up-to-date procurement records.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding quotations, orders, availability and delivery schedules.
- Track outstanding orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain procurement databases and supplier information.
- Prepare procurement reports and assist with budget and expenditure tracking.
- Check procurement documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Support compliance with internal procurement policies and procedures.
- Assist with resolving supplier, order and delivery queries.
- Provide general administrative support, including filing, correspondence and scheduling.
- Work closely with internal departments to confirm purchasing requirements and order progress.
- One to two years of experience in procurement, purchasing, buying support or a related administrative role is preferred.
- Fluency in both Afrikaans and English is essential.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and supplier-coordination skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of procurement or purchasing software is advantageous.
