Our client is a reputable organisation within the wholesale footwear distribution industry, and located in Germiston.
Role Purpose
The Brand Assistant will provide hands-on operational and administrative support to the Senior Brand Manager of an exclusive brand portfolio.
This role offers valuable exposure to product lifecycle management, range planning, and performance reporting, with a clear development pathway toward a Brand Manager position over the next 3–5 years. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that product ranges are accurately planned, effectively managed, and successfully brought to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Brand Manager with daily product and brand management activities
- Place, track, and manage product orders, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery
- Liaise with internal departments including Sales, Planning, and Logistics
- Maintain and update product databases and cataloguing systems
- Prepare and manage product range samples
- Produce regular reports analysing product performance, inventory levels, and sales data
- Assist with range planning and stock management decisions through data-driven insights
- Manage documentation and provide comprehensive administrative support to the brand team
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret sales and product data
- Highly organised and methodical, with exceptional attention to detail
- Proactive, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
- Flexible and committed, with willingness to work additional hours when required
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Brand Management, Product Management, Marketing, or a related field (completed or in progress)
- 2–3 years’ experience in a Brand Assistant, Design Assistant, Junior Buyer, or Buying Assistant role
- Experience working with product ranges, reporting, and order management is essential
- A strong desire to grow into a Brand Manager role within 3–5 years
