- Minimum of 5
-7 years of experience in business development or sales within the mining or heavy industries. - Strong knowledge of mining operations, equipment, and procurement processes.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and business growth in mining or industrial markets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel frequently to remote mining sites and attend industry events.
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in the mining sector (both surface and underground).
- Ensure physical visits, online meetings, and phone calls with mining prospects on a weekly basis to sell The Company s full range of logistics services.
- Update all commercial activities in (CRM) timeously and completely.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including mining companies, contractors, suppliers, and government entities.
- Develop strategic plans to grow market share in target regions and segments.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and potential clients.
- Collaborate with teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.
- Lead the proposal and tendering process, including pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and closing deals.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote brand awareness and develop leads.
- Provide regular forecasts, reports, and updates to management.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to mining operations and contracts.
