Overview
This role can be located at our Melrose Arch Office, Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Revenue Growth Manager leads the RGM function for Africa Franchise, managing and coaching its team, as well as those of the Bottlers and overlooking the development and delivery of all contracted RGM projects within Africa Franchise. He/She will ensure our projects are focused on Franchise priority acceleration cells, address precise problems to solve, have the necessary data to deliver quality output, are executed with the right governance, and are tracked to deliver value to the markets.
This role is key in shaping Bottler market-facing strategies to drive consumer and shopper centricity, grow share and drive Net Revenue within the Franchise system.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Cross-market learning and sharing around core value & RGM topics.
- Build/develop playbooks to continually update approaches to common problems across Franchise.
- Build strategy competency and capability in Africa Franchise as a key part of this role by managing and coaching the Franchise team and Bottlerds, prioritizing projects and challenging assumptions to deliver best-in-class output to solve business problems on Price Pack Architecture (PPA), mix management, OBPA, promotions optimization and competitor benchmarking, to enhance franchise performance.
- Key liaison with Sector teams and Bottlers to ensure relevant project outcome with actionable insights leading to accelerated decision-making.
- Drive constructive conversations with Franchise / Bottlers to identify key pain points for the markets, and ensure recommendation embedement.
- Leads the development of strategic occasion led PPA opportunities to meet Bottler needs and enhance system P&L performance.
- Understand consumer behavior and market trends to tailor and align brand and pricing strategies with strategic goals and ‘must win’ battles.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to align strategies and provide E2E solutions.
- Ensure solid analytics is performed to address market challenges and drive growth, ensuring data-driven decisions for franchise partners.
- Effectively manage relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment and impactful recommendations.
- Ensure strategies are aligned with market goals, projects are executed with the needed governance, and franchise is consistently aligned on the project development.
- Build dashboards, document and keep track of projects to ensure a library of best practices for the Franchise / Bottler communities is in place.
- Consistently track outcome with markets.
- Continuously coach and develop GBS team members to ensure growth and expertise.
- Relevant B-degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Marketing or Insights.
- Proven experience (minimum 8-10 years) in Sales, Insights or Pricing and Promotions Management, with a deep understanding of pricing strategies, market dynamics, and consumer behavior in a franchise context.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of RGM and franchise dynamics.
- Consultative mindset to problem solving.
- Demonstrate market knowledge expertise and ability to share relevant cases from international markets.
- In-depth understanding of statistical modeling, including regression analysis and elasticity computations, to guide team members, carry out simulations and build/automate models that support pricing and promotions decisions.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and communicate them effectively for data-driven decision-making.
- Effective team player who collaborates well across stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Willingness to go beyond expectations to solve challenges and drive success for franchise partners.
