SAE Institute is looking for a passionate and qualified 3D animationlecturer to teach and inspire young minds at our North Coast (Ballito) campus.

• Facilitationin accordance with the learning outcomes as set for the SAE Animationprogramme, with a focus on practical application, theoretical frameworks,workflow and technique.
• Mentor students, conduct consultations and facilitate learning opportunities.
• Researchrelevant content in order to develop learning material and lesson plans.
• Evaluation,moderation, invigilation and assessment of learning.
• Keep accurate records of evidence (e.g. attendance, assessment results).
• Possess outstanding communication, interpersonal skills, administration skills, behighlyorganized and possess good time management skills.
• Collaborative and willing to work with fellow lecturers and the HOD to support students.

• MinimumNQF Level 8 qualification (BA Honours) in relevant field
• Experience in thefield of 3D animation of a minimum of 2 years.
• Classroommanagement and workshop facilitation skills: A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in an academic or training environment preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable about 3D animation principles, workflows and processes(modelling, texturing, layout, lighting, rendering, basic rigging)
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience in 3D software package Maya, optionally Blender.
• Must have a bodyof work that demonstrates competency in 3D animation.

• Motion Graphics and/or VFX (After Effects)
