SNR BOOKKEEPER (RETAIL) - R 40K PM + BENEFITS - SOUTHERN SUBURBS, CPT

A dynamic and fast-paced group environment is looking for an experienced finance professional who thrives on accuracy, reporting, analysis, and problem-solving.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being deeply involved in the numbers while partnering closely with senior management and operations across multiple entities.

You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, analysing performance, improving processes, and ensuring the finance function operates at a high standard within a demanding multi-company environment.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for:

• Monthly, quarterly, and annual Group management reporting
• Preparing and presenting financial reports for board packs
• Analysing Income Statements, Balance Sheets, supplier ageing, and cash movement
• Assisting with budgeting, VAT returns, month-end reporting, and audit processes
• Investigating discrepancies and resolving financial anomalies
• Supporting cost analysis initiatives and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Assisting with financial administration and Group reporting processes
• Liaising with operations, accountants, internal IT support, and Sage
• Maintaining accounting policies and ensuring adherence to financial procedures
• Supporting management with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis requests
• Managing API balancing and assisting with Sage-related queries

Requirements REQUIREMENTS

Non-negotiable requirements:

• Bookkeeping Diploma from a recognised institution
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant finance experience
• Strong multi-company finance exposure
• Retail industry experience advantageous
• Experience on Sage One Accounting and Sage Intacct
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and report presentation
• Ability to work under pressure with multiple competing priorities
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
