A well-established manufacturing company based in Heidelberg, Gauteng, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Manager with proven financial experience in a manufacturing industry, and with exposure to diverse financial operations.
Responsibilities
Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, providing accurate and timely reporting to managementConduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support business planning and decision-making processesImport and Export complianceAsset RegisterStrong Forex experience and maintain banking relationshipsMonitor and manage cash flow, and banking relationships to optimize working capital and minimize financial risksEnsure timely and accurate completion of all tax and statutory reporting requirementsOversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functionsProvide financial analysis and insights to support strategic initiatives, cost control measures, and profitability enhancement effortsReview and investigate any discrepancies around costingOperational variance analysis including labour, variable, fixed and material cost variancesAssist operations to identify gaps and drive performanceMonthly P&L’s and management reportsMaintenance of BOM’s and costingsReview and recommend opportunities to reduce expenditure and optimize efficiencies to improve profitsOversee the IT Function of the CompanyRequirements
CA/CPA or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related fieldA professional accounting qualification would be advantageousProven experience as a Financial Manager or similar role within a manufacturing companyIn-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles, standards, and regulationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insightsProficiency in financial software, more specifically SysproExcellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detailEffective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse stakeholdersDemonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and manage a finance teamHire Resolve is a top-tier recruitment firm that focuses on placing skilled professionals in permanent employment.
