BOOKKEEPER +- R30k pm - GOODWOOD
Are you a detail-oriented Bookkeeper who enjoys bringing structure, accuracy, and control to a growing business? - Take ownership of the full bookkeeping function across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial records up to trial balance.
- Process day-to-day financial transactions, including journals, cashbooks, supplier invoices, customer accounts, and general ledger maintenance.
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, debtors, creditors, and balance sheet accounts.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring timely collections and supplier payments.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory submissions through SARS eFiling.
- Administer the monthly payroll process, including employee payslips and payroll-related compliance.
- Handle payroll taxes and statutory obligations, including PAYE, UIF, SDL, and related submissions.
- Assist with month-end procedures and prepare management accounts for review by the finance team.
- Support the ongoing improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting within a growing business environment.
- Proven experience in a full-function bookkeeping role, with responsibility through to trial balance.
- Solid working knowledge of SARS eFiling, including VAT and payroll-related submissions.
- Experience processing payroll using Sage/Pastel Payroll or a similar payroll platform.
- Strong reconciliation skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing a high-volume debtor environment and maintaining accurate customer accounts.
- Well-organized, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification, or studies towards a finance-related degree.
- Previous experience within a retail, wholesale, or credit-driven business environment.
- Ability to communicate in both English and Afrikaans.

Requirements Proven experience in a full-function bookkeeping role, with responsibility through to trial balance.
